NEW: Woodland Path - Buffalo Prairie, Jasper, (Oil on canvas, 12 x 16in.)

One of Jasper National Park’s most primeval features are it's enchanting Douglas Fir groves. These towering, "Ent-like" giants stand guard along sun drenched, south facing slopes at lower elevations throughout the park, creating islands of perpetual summer amidst oceans of winter. When these topple, frequently as the result of lightning or mere decrepitude, the twisted wreckage offers a lifetime of interesting compositions to the wandering artist.
